Defend the Fatherless: Stand up for the Powerless.  (Psalm 82:3)

The CALL is a non-profit organization that mobilizes local churches to serve local children and youth placed in foster care. We provide a way for Christians to invite the mission field into their homes, to serve those most vulnerable in their communities. The CALL partners with the Division of Children and Family Services to recruit, train and support foster and adoptive families for children and teens in foster care. Our hope is to see a day where there are no children in Arkansas waiting for families. Because what children and youth in foster care need most is a family to care for them as they heal from abuse or neglect.

Each day, across Arkansas, about 20 children come into foster care, through no fault of their own. Each one of those children needs a safe place to stay, where they can grow and prosper. But in Miller County, there are not enough homes to care for those children. So, children in foster care from our county end up being placed somewhere else in the state.

Imagine being one of those children. You’ve been removed from the home you were living in and now on top of that, you are in a totally new place, away from your friends and school. That’s a lot of added challenge.

The CALL in Miller County exists to recruit, train and support families from the Christian community right here in our own county who will care for children in foster care. Keeping those children locally is a win for everybody.

The goal when a child comes into foster care is almost always reunification with the original family. Of course, it’s much easier to make that happen when everyone involved is still in the county.

If there was just one family from each of our churches in the area step forward to foster and/or adopt, we could have enough foster homes! Right here in our county!

Actually, the goal is more than enough homes. So that when a child comes into foster care, they can be placed in the right home for their needs.

You can be part of the solution to the foster care crisis in Arkansas right here at home.

Haiti is a place that has been a part of pastor Donnie Edwards' heart for many years and has traveled to Haiti over 20 times since the earthquake in 2009.  Pastor Benjamin served as a translator many times in those trips to train pastors, while doing crusades and evangelism.

In 2020, Pastor Donnie Edwards and pastor Benjamin birthed the idea of planting a church in Haiti, and 3 years later, Family Tabernacle of Peace is thriving and growing stronger each week.

In 2022, the church relocated to a new city in one of the highest prostitution areas and pastor Benjamin is leading the way of the gospel through his church to touch this area for Jesus.

MALAWI MISSIONS

WELLS OF HOPE

Water is the world’s most basic resource.

It has the power to give life – and to take it.

According to the World Health Organization, 2 billion people around the world lack access to safe water sources and 829,000 people die every year due to water-related illnesses. Collectively, women and girls around the world spend 200 million hours per day walking just for water.

The women in Malawi can spend a majority of their day walking miles to collect water that is unsafe to drink. Their children repeatedly fall ill from waterborne illnesses and miss school days.

Since installing a safe water solution in Malawi communities, these mothers have been able to spend less time collecting water and more time attending to their farming businesses and families. Their children have also been healthier and able to fully participate in school.
