DISCIPLESHIP
Discipleship is defined many different ways but Jesus defined it best with what he said in Matthew 16:24-25
[24] Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
[25] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 28:19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Verse 20 tells us it’s not just our duty to lead people to salvation, but to teach and disciple them, also. The Avenue of Hope would like to see that no one is left out and every single convert is discipled. The best way to disciple is one-on-one or in small groups. The Avenue of Hope desires to transform those whom God has entrusted us to disciple them in the basics of Christianity, as well as give them the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about God, His word and His will for their lives. In the society we live in, time is worth more than anything and to those who are going uninformed, it is more important than ever. The success rate of people who are not brought under training and discipling after salvation is not good. They have no root nor guidance, and we want to change that. This is a ministry that will enrich your life and lay up treasures in heaven.

Discipleship Workbook
This is a discipleship workbook written by Bro. Donnie Edwards to lead new believers and believers who have never been discipled. As a young Christian, Bro. Donnie was never discipled in the fundamentals of the faith. Even as a young preacher in Bible college, he realized how little he knew about the bible. With a great passion for discipleship and evangelism, he has written a training manual that will assist each disciple in 15 of the basic teachings of how to be an Avenue of Hope.
Bible Collection & Distribution
God’s word is so essential in each believer’s life. So many do not have a bible nor the resources to buy one. In many of the countries Bro Donnie has served in missions a bible would cost a local a month to three months wage. We believe you have to have a bible to know how to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. For a local to get a bible in their own language is a huge role in that believer’s spiritual maturity and success. The Avenue of Hope will have annual goals, budget, and campaigns to raise money to purchase bibles to send all over the world. Hope Groups
Hope Groups are a small-group community of believers who gather weekly to study God's word. It is the desire of the Avenue of Hope Ministries to plant small-groups all over the world. Leaders are taken through an extensive training on how to lead and minister to their groups. Through this community of believers, we build up believers' lives upon the concept we are an avenue of hope with a personal relationship with Jesus. We then train believers in the fundamentals of the faith and doctrines of Jesus Christ.
Satellite Campuses
Satellite campuses are the second phase of the Hope Groups Ministry. Most small groups will be just that, a small group. But when a small group begins to grow into a healthy larger community and the commitment from the group is to move forward led by the Holy Spirit, then, under Bro. Donnie's leadership and through the process of formation, prayer, structure, resources and development, the small group can move into the next phase of meeting as a Legacy Satellite Campus. They will meet weekly on Sunday mornings as an extension of Legacy Baptist Church and services are shown on a live video feed. Details will be adjusted accordingly to the needs and vision for each Satellite Campus.
